We dive deeper into the behind the scenes work that is put into these intricate pieces. First, let’s get into how these were printed. The screen printing method is the most common and popular way of printing custom logos on garments. Screen printing is the best way of printing on clothing in my opinion. I wanted to use this method of print but with a twist. “How could I possibly switch it up from the basic way everyone gets their clothes printed to an eye catching masterpiece?” I asked myself. I then looked on Pinterest for inspiration, after endlessly searching for different ways I could print I found nothing that I was interested in. So tiktok was next in the list. After I searched for different screen printing methods on Tiktok my inspiration sparked! I discovered a method of printing called “fountain printing” where different colors of inks are mixed on the screen to make a beautiful result with a unique print each garment.
Even though I found out about the fountain printing, I still wanted to add more. I thought of more ways that I can be innovative with this piece and then it came to me!💡 Why not add puff ink to this print? Puff ink is very popular and the outcome of puff ink looks great almost every time it is printed. To test this theory of blending colors + Puff ink to make unique and beautiful creations was a must! I then went to my manufacturer to get a sample made and it came out perfect! Of course, I had to do this with more colors and that’s what happened. I played with colors, making my own gradients in photoshop until one was good enough to put on the garments. This process repeated until I came up with 6 total gradients that I thought were perfect. This took days of work, but it got done! I always put as much time as I need into my pieces for my customers because quality is key! I hope you guys enjoy these garments!
